A visit with Henry Thoreau - Walden Pond - Concord, MA

Today we visited Walden Pond. It's now a state park in Massachusetts, but it was once owned by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Starting in the summer of 1845, Emerson invited his friend Henry Thoreau to build a small cabin and live on the land. Thoreau is known for encouraging a respect for nature and the environment.
